What to expect on the night Upon arrival at our event, our hosts will meet and introduce themselves to you. You will be registered by your hosts and given a scorecard, name badge and a pen. While registration is taking place, guests are invited to go the bar and have a drink while we wait for everyone to arrive. Once everyone has arrived and registration has taken place. Your host will explain to you the icebreaker of the evening and how speed dating works as well as answer any questions that you may have. Our Speed dating format is done standing up; we have ditched the old setting where women sit at the table and men move to another table after each mini date. Purple City believes that the old arrangement tends to be more like a business meeting/interview and too repetitive, which creates a very tense atmosphere. We aim to give you a night of fun, enjoyment and relaxation where you will be able to meet single people like yourself and make new friends as well as network and hopefully find a soul mate too. Do not take the night seriously come with an open mind and you’ll experience the fun side of Speed Dating while meeting exciting people. Each mini date lasts 5 minutes and after the bell rings, you simply move to the next date. Don’t forget to enter a score and comment to remind you of the person you had a mini date with. The score card is divided into two sections, you keep the one that you make comments to remind yourself of the people you have met through the course of the evening and the other half of the score card is handled back to our hosts at the end of the event. |

| Format of the Evening (on average you’ll have 20 dates on the night). • 7.00pm Registration commences • 7.45pm Icebreaker- optional (your host will explain the game on the evening) • 8.00pm Speed Dating commences • 9.00pm breaks for refreshment • 9.20 pm Speed Dating resumes • 10.20pm Speed Dating ends and post event socializing begins. Most people stay after the end of the event to chat to people they have met during the evening. We encourage people to stay for this post event evening, this is the chance to talk, network more with the people that you have met. |

| Flirt chair At Purple City, we are here to ensure that all our guests have a great time and remember the night as a wonderful experience We have introduced a “Flirt Chair”. If after having your 5 minutes mini dates, you still feel that you need an extra time to decide. We can arrange for you to chat in our flirt chair during the break. Please fill out the purple request card. We will ask the other person on your behalf, if they agree then you can have an extra time with them. However, if they decline your request, please do not be offended, we all have to respect other people’s right to say no. |

| Key and Lock This is similar to Speed Dating, but with a twist. On the evening all ladies are issued with a lock and men with the key. After registration has taken place, this is when the party starts. Guests are free to mingle and approach any member of the opposite sex to see if the key and lock works. If it doesn’t, you simply move on to the next person. The Lock and Key is the ultimate icebreaker for anyone. Don’t be shy, simply walk to anyone and start a conversation. Don’t take the night too seriously, you’re there to have fun and meet as many people as possible on the night and hopefully your keys and locks might unlock something wonderful, something special, The possibilities are endless. If your key opens the lock simply take it back to our hosts who will issue you with another one. Well at this stage we hope that you have become a professional in small talk and opening locks and are enjoying the party. The idea behind the lock and key is that you can approach people or simply stay cool and wait for them to approach you. No need to be shy or embarrassed. All the people attending this party are just as keen to meet other single people as you are! The chances of your keys opening locks are very high; therefore you have nothing to lose but everything to gain from meeting lots of single people in just one night. |

| Dinner parties Dinner Dates is not an introduction agency, nor do we promise you that we will introduce you to your long term partner or soul mate. Dinner Dates brings likeminded people who enjoy good company during meals together. |

| How it works The night starts with pre-dinner drink reception, where you’ll be introduced by your host to everyone. The drink reception last for approximately 30 minutes. You will then be asked to join your table; your seat will have your name card. The table will seat six, eight or ten people with an equal ratio of men and women. Men move to another table after the starter and main course has been served for dessert and coffee. Arrangements to exchange numbers or meet up at a later date is entirely the discretion of both parties, purple City does not get involved in the initiation or the arrangements. Format of the evening • 8.00pm – All guests meet at the restaurant; please ask for Purple City, where you will be taken to join the rest of the guests for pre dinner drinks. You host will introduce you to all the guests • 8.30pm – All guests will be invited to be seated at their table. You seat will have your name card on it Men move table after starter and main course. Dinner parties tend to end late as toward the end of the evening people start to enjoy talking and chatting to people they have met during the course of the evening. Please ensure that you make relevant arrangements to get back home safely All Dinner Parties events are paid in advance. Please ensure that you make these payments before coming to the restaurant as you will not be able to pay on the evening. |

| Singles parties Our singles parties have age guidelines. This is to give an idea to all our guests about the sorts of people who attend our singles party night. The venues that we host our party nights are hired by Purple City for exclusive use and therefore all the people attending our events will be club members. At the start of the evening guests are introduced to each other, with just background music to allow people to talk freely and get to know other guests as well. Please let us know if you are attending the party night by yourself so we can introduce you to other guests. There is on average over 150 people attending our parties from all parts of London. We hire the best DJ who is able to play music from different genres. Guests are encouraged to request music directly from our friendly DJ for themselves or on behalf of someone else. The night is full of fun, music, and networking and of course people who enjoy dancing. There are opportunities to exchange numbers, e-mails etc. Don’t worry if you did not bring pen and paper, ask our hosts, who will only be happy to give you one. At most venues, payment must have been made through our online facilities as we are unable to take payment at the door. Please check this before you come.
